Smoky Mountain Harmony A Cappella Show Chorus is an award winning, blue ribbon chorus comprised of 75 women who just love to sing and perform. We are so proud that in our short 8 years as an official Sweet Adelines International chartered chorus we have won our 5-state wide regional contest three times and have represented our region in Portland, Oregon; Phoenix, Arizona; and Detroit, Michigan at the International Competitions.
Our chorus provides fun, family-oriented entertainment to our community with our Annual Show, the American Heart Walk, Race For The Cure, various Assisted Living Centers, Knoxville's Foster Parents Appreciation Annual Dinner, PBS's Fund Raiser, Knoxville Opera Company's Rossini Festival, and the Women's Build Project for Habitat for Humanity. We had the honor of representing Sweet Adelines International at SPEBSQSA's Men's International Competition in Nashville, Tennessee, in July of 2001.
Smoky Mountain Harmony is a member of Sweet Adelines International, an international music education organization for women. Today the organization has more than 30,000 members, with over 600 chapters (choruses) in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Mexico and six countries in Europe.
Smoky Mountain Harmony's music ranges from Gospel to Pop, Broadway Show Tunes to Traditional Barbershop. We currently have 75 members and we're still growing! We're always looking for women for all vocal parts! You don't have to be able to read music, just be able to carry a tune! Our rehearsals are always open to all women who would like to become a part of this exciting new chorus!
